Overview
In 2016 Fitzpatrick Advisory reviewed the performance of the Smart Motorway Programme (SMP) Tranches 0 and 1 in Highways England, and also supported a strategic review at the same time by the Infrastructure Client Group (ICG) of the Institute of Civil Engineers.
Since 2017 we have provided ‘Design Management’ services to SMP under the Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF). This involves directly supporting Project Managers, Sponsors and the PMO in the provision of technical assurance, risk, quality and commercial advisory services for the majority of the schemes in the Programme, from concept to construction.
As well as helping mature the design and development phase of the Programme, we have also supported the development, purpose and functionality of the Rapid Engineering Model (REM) for SMP and are also advising on the transition phase of SMP to the Smart Motorways Alliance (SMA).
